This complete set of eight Tilta Khronos Magnetic FSND filters for iPhone covers optical densities 0.3 to 2.4 \u2014 one to eight stops (ND2 to ND256). However bright the sun, you always have the density that keeps your shutter at 1\/50 s and the motion blur cinematic. All eight share the same multi-coated optical glass with true colour rendition and drop magnetically into the Khronos filter tray. Space Gray finish.<\/p>\n

The set contains all eight densities of the Khronos FSND range. One to eight stops covers anything from an overcast afternoon to midday on snow or water, so you never have to compromise on exposure or work out which single piece to order next. All eight filters share the same multi-coated optical glass, the same magnetic mount and the same thickness \u2014 you move between densities without re-focusing or re-framing.<\/p>\n

The Khronos FSND filters are flat, magnetically mounted glass that hands exposure control back to the iPhone. In bright light the phone cuts brightness by shortening the shutter, and the video turns choppy; with an ND filter you can shoot in midday sun at a 180\u00b0 shutter angle \u2014 1\/50 s at 25 frames per second \u2014 and motion stays smooth. In stills the same density opens the door to long exposures, silky water or streaked clouds.<\/p>\n

The number on the filter tab is the optical density<\/strong>. Most people look for \u201cND8\u201d or \u201cthree stops\u201d instead \u2014 here is the conversion:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The filter is a single piece of glass covering all three iPhone lenses. It aligns to the guide slot in the Khronos filter tray and a magnet holds it, so a swap takes a second \u2014 even mid-take. The tray clicks onto the quick-release points of the Khronos case, locks with an anti-rotation clip and swivels through 180\u00b0.<\/p>\n

You need the Khronos case for iPhone<\/strong> and the Khronos Quick Release Filter Tray<\/strong> to use it. Neither is included with the filter, and without them the filter will not stay on the phone. Tilta lists the filters for iPhone 15 and 16 Pro \/ Pro Max. One filter goes into the tray at a time \u2014 the manufacturer does not describe stacking several filters.<\/p>\n
