The Pyro Ultra 1TX & 1RX is a high-performance wireless video transmission system designed for professional film, broadcast, and content production environments where stability, flexibility, and image quality are critical.
At the core of the system is Hollyland’s proprietary TWiFi transmission technology, which combines 2.4GHz and 5GHz into a single, intelligent wireless link. This architecture provides stronger signal stability and improved resistance to interference compared to traditional dual-band systems. With automatic frequency hopping, the system continuously adapts to the environment, ensuring a reliable connection even in RF-heavy locations such as film sets, studios, and live events.
The system supports transmission distances of up to 1.5 km (line-of-sight in non-broadcast mode) and 700 m in Broadcast Mode, making it suitable for both compact productions and large-scale setups.
Pyro Ultra supports true 4K60 video transmission over HDMI at 12 Mbps, delivering high-resolution images with strong clarity, detail, and color fidelity. This ensures accurate monitoring across all departments, from camera to client viewing.
A key feature is the dedicated Focus Mode, designed specifically for focus pulling and precision monitoring. When enabled, it reduces latency to as low as 20 ms (1080p25/30), ensuring real-time responsiveness. This makes it possible to confidently handle fast-moving subjects and complex camera work without delay.
The system is built for modern multi-user workflows. In standard mode, it supports up to 6 simultaneous monitoring endpoints (4 receivers and 2 mobile apps). With Broadcast Mode enabled, a single transmitter can connect to an unlimited number of receivers, allowing entire crews to monitor the same signal without additional complexity. Stable performance is ensured with up to 20 receivers depending on the environment.
Pyro Ultra is fully integrated into the Pyro ecosystem, ensuring compatibility with other Pyro devices. This allows users to expand existing setups, mix different models, and scale systems based on production requirements without changing workflow.
The system also supports UVC and RTMP streaming, enabling direct connection to computers for live streaming, remote collaboration, or content capture without the need for additional hardware. UVC supports resolutions up to 4K60, while RTMP streaming supports up to 1080p60.
With DFS-ready operation, Pyro Ultra unlocks access to additional frequency bands where regulations allow, providing greater flexibility and fewer transmission conflicts in crowded environments.
Connectivity is designed for professional use, with HDMI and SDI support, including fractional frame rates such as 23.98 and 59.94 fps. This ensures compatibility with industry-standard workflows across cinema and broadcast applications.
Additional workflow features include adaptive output resolution, allowing receivers to automatically match the resolution of connected displays, and a Freeze Frame function, which holds the last frame if the signal is interrupted. Users can also upload a custom fallback image to maintain visual consistency.
