The Tilta TCB-BMPC-PTAP is a power cable for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and 6K. One end is a P-Tap (D-Tap) plug for the output of a V-Mount or Gold Mount battery plate, the other a 2-pin plug for the camera’s power input. The camera then runs from the large battery on the cage instead of its internal battery. Length 43.82 cm.
The Tilta TCB-BMPC-PTAP feeds the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K/6K from a battery plate. The Pocket’s internal battery lasts only briefly; a V-Mount or Gold Mount battery on the cage lasts the whole shoot, and this cable links it to the camera’s power input.
P-Tap on one end, the Pocket’s power input on the other
The P-Tap (D-Tap) plug goes into any P-Tap output on a Tilta battery plate or battery baseplate — the V-Mount and Gold Mount plates for BMPCC cages have one. The other end is a locking 2-pin plug that fits the power input on the side of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and 6K and latches once inserted, so it does not pull out while working. The cable is straight, with a rubber jacket and connectors of aluminium alloy and ABS plastic.
On a Tilta cage with a battery plate
The cable is 43.82 cm long — enough from the plate under or behind the camera to the power input on the side of the body without leaving a long loop on the cage. It connects to the battery plate on a battery baseplate under the cage as well as to a plate mounted behind the camera. The camera then runs from the large V-Mount or Gold Mount battery and the internal battery stays as a backup; when you disconnect the plate, the Pocket switches to the internal battery without interruption.

The Tilta TCB cable range links camera, battery and accessories on the rig: power from a V-Mount or Gold Mount plate over P-Tap, 2-pin Lemo, 3-pin Fischer or a DC barrel connector, USB-C PD for monitors and handles, 7-pin control cables for the Nucleus system and HDMI or BNC for the picture. Lengths follow the rig — short on the cage, longer out to arms and batteries; this cable is one of them.
