35 mm with Canon EF mount
The Vespid 35 mm T2.1 is a compact, fully manual cine lens designed for full-frame and Vista Vision setups. It uses the Canon EF interchangeable mount system; the design is suitable for handheld cameras, gimbals, drones, and classic cine rigs.
Mechanics for Film Work
The Vespid series minimizes focus breathing; the front element does not rotate, and the lens length remains constant during focusing. The consistent placement of the focus and aperture rings across models makes it easy to swap lenses on a rig without time-consuming adjustments to accessories.
Controls and Image Character
The 16-blade aperture diaphragm promotes natural bokeh outside the depth of field. The knurled focus and aperture rings are compatible with side-focusing systems; the 270° focus travel allows for smooth transitions, and the fully manual mechanics do not rely on electronic communication or optical stabilization.
Compatibility and Filters
The lens has a front diameter of 80 mm and an M77 thread for filters. The EF mount can be replaced with an optional PL adapter; optional magnetic ND filters can also be attached to the rear of Vespid lenses. These accessories are not included with this EF version.
