The Tilta TA-CS-BJ is a ball joint with a cold shoe mount for the Tilta Mini Articulating Arm. The shoe foot slides into a cold shoe on a cage, camera or monitor and the knurled ring locks it without tools; in the arm, the joint swaps with the original one in seconds. The body is aluminium alloy and stainless steel, in black.
The Tilta TA-CS-BJ gives the Mini Articulating Arm a cold shoe foot: the arm then sits in any shoe on the rig with no thread or adapter needed.
Cold shoe foot with a locking ring
The mount is a foot for a cold shoe — the same one a microphone or a small light has. It slides into the shoe on a cage, a camera top plate or a monitor, and the knurled ring above the foot is tightened by hand, so the arm neither rocks nor slides out of the shoe. No tools, no screwdriver; loosening it and moving it elsewhere takes just as little time.
Swapped in the arm without tools
The Tilta Mini Articulating Arm has a clamp at each end that grips the ball. Release the clamp, the original joint comes out, this one goes in and the clamp locks it again — it takes a few seconds and the arm is ready for a different kind of mount. The other end can keep the original 1/4″-20 joint, or take another mount from the series: ARRI rosette, NATO clamp, 15/19 mm rod clamp, GoPro or SmallHD.
Tilta ball joints
The Tilta Mini Articulating Arm has swappable ball joints at both ends: pull one out, push another in and lock it, no tools. Ends come for ARRI rosette, cold shoe, NATO rail, 15/19 mm rods, GoPro and SmallHD, plus an extended ball joint arm for more reach. The parts combine freely — a monitor, light or transmitter lands exactly where the rig has room; this joint is one of them.
