The Zeiss CSC-Filter ist constructed as an two component filter, of an negative and an positive optical glass, equivalent refractive power. In between, there is a filter layer, so that the light-rays will be always straight.

The curved CSC interference filters cuts-off UV and IR components almost completely, without the experience of the dreaded green and cyan color casts, especially noticed with wide-angle lenses.
