This official manufacturer sample demonstrates a 28mm perspective suited to street, travel, landscape, architecture, interiors and environmental portraits. Low distortion helps preserve natural lines while including context without an exaggerated ultra-wide look.
Modern detail, classic character
The 7-element, 4-group Leica M formula uses one precision aspherical element and two HRI elements. Multi-layer Epoch Coating M helps control contrast, chromatic aberration, flare and ghosting in demanding light.
Focus as close as 0.4m
For a Leica M lens, the Eureka focuses unusually close. At 0.4m it can combine a detailed subject with a wider background, making it useful for food, textures, animals, small objects and intimate everyday moments.
Fully mechanical control
Focus and aperture are manual and the lens has no electronic contacts. Its precise mechanics suit traditional Leica M operation; an optional M-to-X adapter also allows use on Fujifilm X cameras.
The f/2.8 aperture supports night-street, interior and concert work, while focusing at 0.4m allows stronger subject separation from the background.
