The Tilta TA-RC-BJ is a ball joint with a 15/19 mm rod clamp mount for the Tilta Mini Articulating Arm. The clamp opens with its lever, goes onto a 15 mm or 19 mm rod and closes again — the arm then runs from the rods of the rig to a monitor or transmitter. In the arm, the joint swaps with the original one in seconds. The body is aluminium alloy and stainless steel, in black.
The Tilta TA-RC-BJ moves the Mini Articulating Arm from the cage onto the rods: it grips anywhere on 15 mm LWS rods and on 19 mm studio rods, with no adapter.
Rod clamp for 15 mm and 19 mm
The mount is a hinged rod clamp with two diameters: it grips a 15 mm rod as well as a 19 mm one, so the same joint serves on a light LWS rig and on a studio support. The lever opens the clamp, the arm goes onto the rod anywhere along its length — no threading it on from the end — and the lever closes it again. No tools; sliding it further along the rod is a single move.
Swapped in the arm without tools
The Tilta Mini Articulating Arm has a clamp at each end that grips the ball. Release the clamp, the original joint comes out, this one goes in and the clamp locks it again — it takes a few seconds and the arm is ready for a different kind of mount. The other end can keep the original 1/4″-20 joint, or take another mount from the series: ARRI rosette, cold shoe, NATO clamp, GoPro or SmallHD.
Tilta ball joints
The Tilta Mini Articulating Arm has swappable ball joints at both ends: pull one out, push another in and lock it, no tools. Ends come for ARRI rosette, cold shoe, NATO rail, 15/19 mm rods, GoPro and SmallHD, plus an extended ball joint arm for more reach. The parts combine freely — a monitor, light or transmitter lands exactly where the rig has room; this joint is one of them.
