The Tilta Illusion Magnetic Circular Polarizer Filter is a professional magnetic CPL designed for the Tilta Illusion ecosystem. It reduces glare and reflections while enhancing color saturation and maintaining true color accuracy, offering fast magnetic mounting and precise rotational control for photography and cinema use.
The Tilta Illusion Magnetic Circular Polarizer Filter is a high-performance optical filter designed to enhance image quality while providing fast, flexible workflow integration within the Tilta Illusion Magnetic Filter Ecosystem. Built for filmmakers and photographers, it reduces reflections and glare from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass, and polished materials while improving overall color saturation and contrast.
Key features
No Colour Cast
The cinema-grade Full Spectrum (FS) coating delivers low reflectivity and even light transmission, preserving the true colour of every scene.
Minimal Vignetting
Most common filter combinations are integrated into a single piece of glass — fewer stacked layers means vignetting is eliminated at the source.
Low Maintenance
A water- and oil-repellent surface, plus the included microfibre cleaning cloth, means fingerprints and smudges wipe clean instantly, making everyday upkeep effortless.
Engineered with Tilta’s True Color optical design, the filter ensures accurate and neutral color reproduction while minimizing unwanted reflections and maintaining consistent light transmission across the frame. This makes it ideal for both still photography and cinematic video production where color fidelity is critical.
The filter features a magnetic mounting system that enables quick attachment and removal when used with compatible Tilta Illusion Magnetic Adapter Rings. Its rotating design allows precise control over polarization strength, giving users the ability to fine-tune reflections, deepen skies, and adjust contrast in real time during shooting.
In addition to standalone CPL functionality, the filter is compatible with the optional Illusion Magnetic VND Adapter, allowing it to be integrated into a variable ND system for expanded exposure control. This modular flexibility makes it a powerful tool for changing lighting environments.
Its low-profile construction ensures minimal added bulk, making it suitable for handheld rigs, gimbals, drones, and cinema camera setups where balance and compact design are essential.
