The Tilta TCB-DCM25-DCM30 is a DC → DC link cable with two plugs: 5.5/2.5 mm on one end and 5.0/3.0 mm on the other. It powers devices with a 5.0/3.0 mm input from the 5.5/2.5 mm output of another source — and vice versa. Both plugs are right-angled, yellow-tip version; length 61.6 cm.
The Tilta TCB-DCM25-DCM30 solves the most common barrel-connector problem: source and load each have a different diameter. The cable carries a different plug size at each end, so it joins a 5.5/2.5 mm output to a 5.0/3.0 mm input without an adapter that would get lost on the rig.
5.5/2.5 mm on one end, 5.0/3.0 mm on the other
One end is a 5.5/2.5 mm DC plug, the other a 5.0/3.0 mm DC plug with a yellow tip — which tells the version apart at a glance. The cable goes between the DC output of the source and the DC input of the device and works in both directions: from a 5.5/2.5 mm output it powers devices with a 5.0/3.0 mm input, and from a 5.0/3.0 mm output devices with a 5.5/2.5 mm input. The cable does not change the voltage, so source and load must match in voltage.
Right-angled plugs and 62 cm of length
Both plugs are right-angled: the cable runs along the device body, does not stick out and, plugged into a monitor or battery plate, does not make the rig bigger. The 61.6 cm length is enough from the battery plate on the cage to an accessory on the top handle or on an arm. The jacket is rubber, the connectors aluminium alloy and ABS plastic.
Tilta cables
The Tilta TCB cable range links camera, battery and accessories on the rig: power from a V-Mount or Gold Mount plate over P-Tap, 2-pin Lemo, 3-pin Fischer or a DC barrel connector, USB-C PD for monitors and handles, 7-pin control cables for the Nucleus system and HDMI or BNC for the picture. Lengths follow the rig — short on the cage, longer out to arms and batteries; this cable is one of them.
